Experience
Laura has been training her own dogs for 12 years. She started in 4-H at age 8 and now competes in American Kennel Club agility and obedience.
She taught 4-H obedience classes for 3 years.
She has experience in volunteering at the Humane Society, working at a Doggie Day Care, and at a Veterinary office.
She is currently attending University of Illinois, pursuing a degree in Animal Science with plans to go on to Graduate school for Animal Behavior.
She also has experience in working with kids at a nearby horse day camp.
Laura is currently taking part in an internship at Peoria Zoo.
Resident Dogs
You'll probably see these girls out and about. They may even help with some demonstrations in class.
Libby is a 14 year old Border Collie. She is retired from competition but still loves to practice for fun! She has her Excellent A agility titles in AKC agility.
Sammy is a 8 year old Border Collie. She has her Novice agility titles in AKC agility and is working on her Open titles. However, with her handler being away at college it is pretty slow going.
Molly is an 11 year old Golden Retriever/Chow mix. She loves to hang out with the cats and chew on her rawhide bones. She has never been interested in competition, but she knows a few tricks and is a very sweet girl.
*Molly passed away in December 07 due to respiratory failure, we miss her and will always love her.
